October 2026

3 updates

October opens with a performance and scale release. The heaviest analysis screens now load in under a second. Inventory sync is now incremental, and items deleted from the tenant no longer show up in the portal.

· Friday

Improved

Analysis screens up to 200 times faster

The Activity Trail, Governance Radar, Usage & Adoption, Item consumption, the capacity diagnosis and the home page KPIs now read hourly and daily summaries computed at every collection, instead of recounting every event on each visit. In production, the Activity Trail summary dropped from about 20 seconds to under 0.1 second, and the Governance Radar from almost 17 seconds to 0.2 second. Summaries were also backfilled for the previous 90 days, so your history stays complete.

Improved

Incremental inventory sync

Every 30 minutes, FabricBoard fetches only the workspaces that changed since the last sync, and the full scan now runs once a day. Only what changed is written, including in the Access Map. The result: less load on your tenant's APIs and syncs that finish in seconds. Each organization is also collected independently, so a large tenant never delays the others.

Fixed

Items deleted from the tenant leave the inventory

Workspaces and artifacts deleted in Fabric/Power BI kept showing up in the portal. They are now detected by the daily full scan and disappear from the inventory and every other screen. A safeguard prevents mass removals if Microsoft returns an incomplete response.

August 2026

5 updates

August was all about alert reliability. A new mobile push notification channel arrived, still in pilot, for the upcoming FabricBoard mobile app. Notification delivery became more robust, with retries working as intended, and we fixed the Alert Center list and gateway search.

· Tuesday

Fixed

Alert delivery retries

When a channel failed, each failure was counted twice, so the notification gave up on the second attempt. Each notification now gets all three attempts before being marked as undelivered.

New

Privacy and Support pages on the website

The FabricBoard website gained a Privacy Policy describing where data is stored, what information is processed and who it is shared with, plus a Support page with contact channels, what to include in a request and the most common questions about access, alerts and notifications.

· Monday

New

Mobile push notifications (pilot)

FabricBoard gained a push notification channel for its mobile app, currently in pilot. Each device has its own minimum severity and quiet hours, following the organization's time zone. Tapping a notification opens the right alert, and critical alerts use the iOS time-sensitive interruption level. Devices where the app was uninstalled automatically stop receiving notifications.

Fixed

Alert Center

Fixed an error that prevented the alert list from loading after the event type filter was added. The filter is still available, and an invalid value now returns a clear message.

Fixed

Gateway search

Searching by name in the gateway list returned every gateway instead of filtering. It now shows only the gateways that match the search term.

July 2026

67 updates

July was launch month. The first version shipped on July 5 and, on July 7, the portal went live with Microsoft sign-in, guided onboarding and AI error analysis. Over the month came Notification Groups, automatic tenant setup, the portal in three languages (Portuguese, English and Spanish) and a large set of capacity features: health based on Microsoft's official measures, a plain-language diagnosis, throttling with alerts and daily consumption in CU-seconds. We also launched the Usage & Adoption screen, refresh Reliability, the refresh Schedule with time-slot collisions, Tenant Settings history, and filters and sorting on every table.

· Thursday

Improved

Column sorting on every table

Portal tables now have an arrow in the header to sort in ascending or descending order. On paginated tables (alerts, access, activities, inventory, refreshes and scan logs), sorting applies to all records, not just the page on screen.

Improved

People in the Inventory

The Workspace matrix gained a People card, with the total number of distinct users who have access to the content, and a sortable column with that number per workspace. That makes it easy to spot the most exposed workspaces.

Fixed

Datasets/Dataflows selector in Data Refreshes

When the organization had no dataflows, the screen hid the selector and showed the initial setup notice. That notice now only appears when there are no runs of any kind.

· Sunday

New

Item consumption in Usage & Adoption

A new tab shows, for each item, the total and average run duration, the number of runs, failures and users, with a workspace filter and a 7, 14 or 30-day window. Microsoft doesn't expose per-item CU consumption for automated collection, so this tab uses duration as a proxy for weight and explains that right on the screen.

Improved

Searchable filters and Excel-style column filters

Workspace and item filters became search boxes: start typing and the list filters instantly. Item search queries the server, so it works well on tenants with hundreds of reports. Tables also gained a funnel in the header, with search and multi-select, in Usage & Adoption, capacities, Radar, Reliability, Schedule and the inventory matrix.

Improved

New filters on monitoring screens

You can now filter by resource in the Access Map, by user in the Activity Trail, by item in Data Refreshes, by status in Fabric Items and by event type in the Alert Center.

· Saturday

Improved

Workspace filter on analysis screens

Data Refreshes, Activity Trail, Access Map, Semantic Models and Fabric Items gained the same workspace filter as the Inventory, right next to the search box. Analyzing one workspace at a time is now simpler.

· Thursday

New

Capacity health using Microsoft's official measures

Each capacity page now shows the same indicators as the Capacity Metrics App: average utilization over the last hour, the last 24 hours and the last 7 days, rejection status and accumulated overload over the last 60 minutes. The numbers are updated every 5 minutes.

New

Plain-language capacity diagnosis

A Diagnosis card classifies the capacity as Healthy, At risk, Throttling or Rejecting and explains why, without jargon. It shows whether the capacity is right-sized (average versus peak, bursts), how long users wait (P95), time conflicts between user access and refreshes (with the items worth rescheduling) and refreshes that got slower.

New

A CU% chart that explains the spikes

With Show events turned on, the period's refreshes and jobs appear as dots on the CU% curve, with failures in red. You can see at a glance which run caused each spike. The chart also gained a time range filter (1h, 6h, 24h, 3 days and 7 days).

New

Capacity page with tabs

The capacity detail is now organized into Overview, Throttling (with a counter) and Workspaces. In the workspace list, a Git badge shows which ones are connected to source control.

New

Daily consumption in CU-seconds

The Capacity Dashboard now shows today's and yesterday's consumption (with the change), the success rate over the last 24 hours, failed refreshes and a bar chart of the last 30 days with your SKU's limit line. The calculation uses data collected by FabricBoard itself.

New

Executive KPIs on the home page

The Dashboard gained the KPIs management asks for: unique users and views (14 and 30 days), active items, refresh failure rate over the last 7 days and average CU utilization over 24 hours, each linking to its detail screen. Trend charts show tenant growth over 90 days (workspaces, artifacts and active users).

New

Usage & Adoption screen

A new Governance screen with the most viewed content (top 15), items with no usage in the period (candidates for archiving) and day-by-hour heatmaps, in your organization's time zone, for views and refreshes. It's the foundation for deciding what to keep, reschedule or turn off.

New

Refresh reliability

A new tab in Data Refreshes with a 14-day board per model (one square per day), success rate and average duration, worst first. The Trend column compares last week's duration with the week before and highlights what got worse.

New

Refresh schedule with time-slot collisions

A new Schedule tab in Data Refreshes shows what is scheduled and points out the time slots where several refreshes compete for the capacity at the same time.

New

Tenant Settings history

The Governance Radar gained a Tenant Settings tab. FabricBoard records the Fabric admin settings every day and shows on a timeline what changed (enabled/disabled and allowed groups).

New

Risky sharing on the Radar

Two new cards on the Governance Radar. One flags any use of Publish to web in the last 90 days as critical. The other warns about content shared with the entire organization.

New

Workspace matrix in the Inventory

A new tab with a heatmap crossing capacity, workspace and item type, with totals for workspaces, items and access entries, plus a breakdown of access by principal type. It's a quick view of where your tenant's content is concentrated.

Improved

Contextual help on metrics screens

An (i) icon next to cards, charts and columns explains what each number means. The capacity page, the Capacity Dashboard, Reliability and Usage & Adoption also gained screen-level help.

Improved

More accurate throttling

The throttling alert now considers only the last hour, so it resolves itself once the capacity is back to normal. The screen still shows 7 days of history, with pagination, and makes clear what is happening now and what is history.

Improved

More compact Capacity Dashboard

Smaller cards and shorter charts, so you see more without scrolling.

Fixed

Notebooks, Lakehouses, Pipelines and SQL endpoints in the Inventory

Some Fabric items weren't imported because Microsoft returns them in a different format from Power BI items. Now any item type that comes back in the scan is added to the inventory.

Fixed

Clipped CU% charts

Capacity charts capped the axis at around 12% and hid peaks above that. The scale now follows the actual values.

Fixed

Direct links and page reload

Opening a screen from its direct address or pressing F5 could show a 404 error, and the direct link to the Capacity Dashboard opened the home page. Both issues are fixed.

· Wednesday

New

Redesigned Capacity Dashboard

Summary cards (total capacities, active and inactive, average CU utilization and how many are above 80%), a consumption list per capacity with current usage, peak and state (Stable, Warning or Critical) and a total CU% chart with the peak line.

New

Throttling: throttled items and a new alert

FabricBoard now collects the items the capacity is throttling and shows them on the capacity page. The new Throttling on capacity event opens an alert with a recommended action and resolves it on its own when throttling stops. The event can be selected in Notification Groups.

New

Sync inventory now

In Settings › Monitoring, the Tenant inventory card triggers a full scan of workspaces, models and artifacts right away, without waiting for the next cycle. It also shows when the last full scan ran.

Improved

Safer automatic setup

The installer finds each tenant setting by its official title, so it never enables a similar-looking setting by mistake. A setting already enabled for the entire organization is never restricted to the FabricBoard group, so other apps in your tenant keep working. The app also appears as FabricBoard-APP on Microsoft's consent screen.

Fixed

Onboarding stuck after consent

When returning from Microsoft's consent screen, the wizard could stop with an authentication error. It now resumes the flow normally.

· Tuesday

New

Notification Groups

In Settings › Groups, you define who is responsible (people), for what (the whole organization, or any combination of workspaces, artifacts and capacities), which events trigger notifications (with threshold and quiet hours) and through which channels. Each member can receive email automatically, and a group manager can edit their own group even with a read-only role. When an event matches several groups, all of them are notified, with no duplicate messages on the same channel. Existing rules became the default "Whole organization" group, so nothing changed for existing users.

New

Automatic tenant setup

In the "Grant access" onboarding step, the admin can choose automatic setup (recommended). With two consents, FabricBoard creates the security group, adds the app and enables the required tenant settings, showing each step with ✓ or ✗. The permission check runs right after. The manual, step-by-step path is still available.

New

Organization time zone

In Settings › Organization, choose your time zone (the default is Brasília). It applies to the Activity Trail collection time, to alert quiet hours and to the date and time shown in notifications.

New

Automatic Capacity Metrics App detection

Just install the Microsoft app in a workspace named FabricBoard-Metrics and give FabricBoard access. CU% monitoring is found and enabled on its own, without copying any IDs.

Improved

Compatible with the current Capacity Metrics App

CU% collection was rewritten for the latest structure of Microsoft's app. If one query approach fails, others are tried in sequence. A collection failure is recorded in the Scan Logs instead of going unnoticed.

Improved

Last sync across the Monitoring tab

The Capacities, Data Refreshes, Fabric Jobs and Activity Trail sections show when the last collection ran, and the Scan Logs record each round. The Activity Trail gained a Sync now button and a choice of time when collection runs once a day.

Improved

Check capacities now

A button in Monitoring › Capacities fetches the tenant's capacities and collects metrics right away. Handy right after onboarding.

Fixed

Blank screens after a while

After about an hour of use, the portal could show blank screens for a minute or two until the session was renewed. The session is now renewed before it expires, and the request is retried automatically if needed.

· Sunday

New

Notifications in your organization's language

Alerts are now generated in Portuguese, English or Spanish, according to the language chosen in Settings › Organization. This covers the title, message, recommendations and the content sent by email, Teams, WhatsApp and Telegram. The notification language doesn't depend on the language each person uses in the portal.

Improved

Sign-in, onboarding and invitations in three languages

The sign-in screens, the tenant connection wizard and the invitation acceptance pages were translated. Tenant setting names appear with Microsoft's official wording in each language.

· Saturday

New

Portal in Portuguese, English and Spanish

A selector at the top switches the language of the entire portal, including menus and every screen, with dates and numbers in each language's format. Your preference is saved in the browser.

New

You choose what to monitor

The new Settings › Monitoring tab turns collection of refreshes, Fabric Jobs and each capacity on or off, and sets the Activity Trail frequency (hourly, 4 times a day, once a day or off). In the Inventory, each artifact has a Monitor toggle, and you can monitor or pause every item in a workspace or of a given type at once. Your plan counts only monitored artifacts.

New

Configurable alert rules

Each rule can have its threshold adjusted (in %, for capacity rules) and quiet hours (for example, no notifications from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.). Invalid values are rejected with a clear message.

New

14-day free trial

Every new organization starts with a 14-day trial. The sidebar chip and the Plan tab show how much time is left.

Improved

Time range filters

Data Refreshes gained a 24-hour, 7-day and 30-day filter. Scan Logs can be filtered by type and time range.

Improved

Standardized pagination

Every table now shows 10 rows per page, with options for 15, 25, 50 or 100.

Improved

New FabricBoard brand in the portal

Logo and icon updated with the FabricBoard identity.

Improved

Standardized page addresses

Portal pages got new English addresses. Old bookmarks and links, including those in emails already sent, keep working and redirect automatically.

· Friday

Fixed

User menu with the right account

The top menu shows the name, email and initials of the signed-in user. The Sign out button ends the Microsoft session.

Fixed

Blank screens for invited members

People who joined through a team invitation could see screens with no data because of a browser security block. The issue has been fixed.

· Thursday

Fixed

Activity Trail stalled at day rollover

When the collection window crossed midnight (UTC), Microsoft rejected the query and the trail stopped updating. Collection now splits the window at the day boundary, and the events from the stalled period were recovered.

Fixed

"Invitation not found"

Team and onboarding invitation links could show this message before sign-in. Invitations now open normally.

· Tuesday

New

FabricBoard goes live, with Microsoft sign-in

The portal went live at app.fabricboard.com.br. You sign in with your company's Microsoft account (Entra ID), and each user sees only the organizations they belong to.

New

Guided onboarding

Starting from an invitation, the admin connects the tenant through a step-by-step wizard: app consent, tenant settings, a permission check with a checklist and the first sync. The wizard can be resumed where you left off.

New

AI error analysis

In Data Refreshes and in the alert detail, the Analyze error with AI button interprets Microsoft's original error and returns the probable cause and the steps to fix it in the language set in the portal (or in the language you ask in). The analysis is saved for whoever opens it next, and failure alert emails already arrive with an AI Diagnosis section. AI is included in the product, with no per-use cost.

New

Governance Radar and Model Health

The Radar shows the tenant's governance findings by category, such as items without an owner, empty workspaces, external guests and recurring failures, each with the list of what is affected. Model Health checks best practices across all semantic models at once and shows each model's score and a ranking of those that need attention.

New

Inside your semantic models

Each model's detail shows tables, columns and measures with their DAX code (ready to copy), who has access, the refresh history and the best-practice analysis. For models that Microsoft's scan doesn't detail, the Collect structure button queries the model directly and fills in the information on the spot.

New

Access Map

A matrix showing who has permission on each workspace and artifact, and where that permission comes from.

New

Activity Trail

The tenant's activity log (who opened, edited, exported or shared what), collected every hour.

New

Fabric Items

Runs of notebooks, pipelines and other Fabric items with status and duration, plus an alert when one fails.

New

Multiple organizations in one account

Consultancies and groups with more than one tenant switch between organizations from a selector at the top, without signing in again.

New

Invite your team

In Settings › Users, the admin invites colleagues by email with the Read-only, Operator or Admin role, changes roles or removes access. Invitees accept with their Microsoft account and land straight in the organization.

New

Telegram alerts

Alerts can be sent to Telegram groups through the official @fabricboard_bot, with severity, workspace and the original error. A single channel can serve multiple groups. For now, the channel is activated with help from our support team.

· Sunday

New

First version of FabricBoard

FabricBoard is born as proactive monitoring for Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, read-only in your tenant. The first version takes a full inventory (capacities, gateways, workspaces, semantic models, reports, dataflows and Fabric items) every 30 minutes and tracks data refreshes every 10 minutes.

New

Alerts that become incidents, not spam

Repeated failures of the same resource become a single incident that opens and resolves itself. Monitored events: refresh failure, stuck run, Fabric item failure, gateway offline, capacity offline or paused, and capacity usage limit (total and background). The email notification includes the original error code and message.

New

Real gateway status

On-premises gateways show as online or offline, with name, type and version, and an alert opens when one goes down.

New

A portal wired to your tenant's data

A Dashboard with your environment's KPIs, an Inventory with search, filters and CSV export, Data Refreshes with per-artifact history and the original error ready to copy, an Alert Center with the incident timeline and delivery status for each channel, plus Gateways, Capacities and Settings with a log of every sync.
